Allegany Mountain's Promise . . .
At AMTS, there are no gimmicks, no false promises of making your horse
gait better, or correct behavior problems. AMTS won’t promise they
can fit every horse, but by trying one of their trees and/or the “Fit To
Be Seen" forms by Steele, they will promise you this: Your saddle will
fit your horse, which will make him or her more comfortable, which will
make you ultimately more comfortable.
Allegany Mountain Trail Saddle designs come from 2nd and 3rd generation
Amish craftsmen. Handcrafted, one saddle at a time. Quality hand
picked Wicket & Craig Leather, complemented with the highest quality
brass and stainless steel hardware to ensure durability and long life.

Built on the Industry's Leading Trees . . .
Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles are built on Steele Equi-fit and Equi-fit
Flex Trees. A 5th generation tree-builder, Ed Steele is a leading manufacture
in the industry. You can select from AMTS standard stock trees or get a
custom fit. AMTS trees include Gaited Horse, Quarter Horse, Draft Horse
and Mule bars.
Saddle Maker - “Little” Eli Miller . . .
Individually hand crafted by ”Little" Eli Miller. a second-generation
Amish craftsman. Having grown up in a harness & saddle shop, learning
the trade from his dad and uncle Eli Miller, "Little" Eli is very meticulous
and takes great pride in his work. AMTS is very proud to have him as our
saddle maker where quality is second to none, at affordable prices!
Fit System . . .
Allegany Mountain Trail saddles provide a set of trees out of stock
inventory specifically for you to try on your horse. This allows you to
actually see how the twist and rock of the bars fit your horse, something
you can’t really see with a finished saddle. This takes the guesswork out
of saddle fit. Additionally, AMTS offers "Fit to Be Seen" forms from Steele.
Email us or call for more details on custom saddle fit. In order to fit
your horse property, we use a “Fit to be Seen” form. This involves using
a bare tree to fit your horse. Although encouraged for correct fit, this
is not required. Forms are shipped based on the type of horse (gaited/non
gaited) you have. Forms require a $50 charge, ($35 for deposit and $15
for shipping), $35 will be refunded upon the return of the forms to Double
O Ranch-tack. Please click on this paypal link for a Fit form. There is

Demo Program . . .
There are a variety of demos (not for sale) to help purchase an Allegany
Mountain Trail Saddle. If there is any question in the quality of saddles,
this will put them to rest. All that is required is a $500 deposit + shipping.
Your deposit will be returned upon return of the demo.
Return Policy
It is the Policy of Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles, to make our customer
service second to none! Our return policy is as follows: If you are not
satisfied with the workmanship in your saddle you may return it for a full
refund, or exchange less shipping and handling, within 10 days in brand
new condition. No Restocking Fee, No Questions.
Warranty
All saddles carry a 1 yr. Warranty for craftsmanship.
All saddles using Steele Trees are warranted for 5 yrs. against defect.
